What is the best way to freshen up my door sill plates? My console, dash panel, and kick panels turned out so nice that I need to freshen up the sill plates and the vent balls. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hey Delbert,
I would try alittle Mothers Aluminum polish on the sillplates. I've used it before and it makes them shine real nice!

Not sure about the vent balls though. Maybe try alittle mothers in an area that is normally not seen?
Good luck! I'm sure someone else will chime in with more advice. :)

If the vent balls are missing the chrome finish just get new ones. If they are yellowish in color try some windex on them and some car wax to shine them up.

I tried to replace my vent balls with repos and they were to big. As a matter of fact they were large enough that they wouldn't rotate within the ducting. I ended up returning them and just reusing the originals. That was maybe two years ago so the problem may have been rectified.

Some of the chrome is missing. I looked in my year one catalog to replace them and couldnt find them. I will try some others. Anyone else had any problem with replacing them?

Thanks for the suggestion with the Mothers Aluminum polish. I will try it.
