It was cold and windy, traction was limited for most of the day but still ran 12.00,11.99,12.36(spun real bad)then 11.85, entered the gamblers race, dialed 11.87 (just in case it spun) and ran 1.697-7.50-11.84@113.57 this was .04 off my best 60ft ever and .06 off my best e.t. ever and this is 5.5 yrs later, the old motor served me well, its puffing a little smoke upon start up but still holds great oil pressure, can't wait to see what it does next year with the new motor :D .

Yep,,,505 .100 over with a 4.25 stroke,10.5-1, with Eds version of the comp xr286r on a 107 lsa,,,Performer Rpm intake,950hp ,781's 2.25/1.88's. I'm liking what KJ has to say about the flow of the RPM intake, gonna start with 1.75" dynomax headers. Lookin for a 10.99 timeslip, but if I can hook it,I might get a 10.50 out of it.

sounds docile enough to drive it around when you want to, yet run like a scalded dog when you want it to. can't beat that.

Hi ak69, When the heck is mothers day? Both years i was at Elmendorf AFB the place was below freezing from Jan. 1 until June. 1st. ('63-'64). Also had a "little" earthquake on Good Friday, 1964 just to keep things interesting. They didn't have a dragstrip there then or if they did i didn't know about it.

Thanks Dan, I finished tied for tenth in points, missed a couple races after transmission problems, then took a couple races to get used to the th400. Then swapped back to a th350 after the season was over, the 400 was burning fluid for some reason. My son doesnt race points yet, he's still gettin his feet wet and lovin every minute of it :D
