I have a 1969 Chevelle SS with a BBC. I was wondering what everybody used to get rid of the wheele hop.

Hotchkis adjustable uppers, braces and lower arms. Polyurathane bushings. Air bags in the 2 inch lowered rear springs. Adjust the pinion angle down I beleive 1.5 degrees. (Do a search on pinion angles in the suspension thread as I pulled that number out of my memory and I'm not positive that is correct.)

Lowered springs helps put the lower control arms parallel to the ground which aids in eliminating wheel hop. I kept the car level by going to 2 inch dropped spindles up front.

I am running stock SS wheels with 225/70R14 tires.
Solved my wheelhop problems by rebuilding the stock rear suspension with all new poly bushings.

If your suspension is worn and loose, that will cause wheel hop.

I have boxed lowers with factory rear swaybar, crappy air shocks and a rebuild suspension with poly bushings and no wheel hop. I am going to ad SSM bars soon to help with traction though.

If your car is jacked up in the rear get it down to stock height first before trying anything else.
Worked wonders on my 72. It had horrible hop.

The quickest and best bang for the buck are either Southside Machine (SSM) Lift Bars (if you can find 'em), or Edelbrock (or Lakewood) No-Hop Bars. These will cure wheel-hop. It's possible to spend a large wad of change on trick suspension pieces (e.g., adjustable upper arms, etc.) and still be right back where you started, but a whole lot poorer. You'll spend 8 bills or so on Hotchkis adjustable uppers with new lower arms and trailing braces. Or you can part with $120 for Edelbrock No-Hop Bars. Unless you've got more money than you know what to do with, start with the SSM Lift Bars or No-Hop bars, then see where you're at.

SSM Lift bars HANDS DOWN, i think they were like $115 and it only took about 2 hours to bolt in. I have also replaced my stock upper bushings with poly's, and that solved my problem.

I just put in upper rear adjustable control
arms & spherical bearing's from www.TRZmotorsports.com (http://www.TRZmotorsports.com) and I can tell you they work great on my car. Not going to say there
any better than the ones the other gents
mentioned sure as hell not cheaper, just another
idea.

I agree with the SSM lift bars. I got a lot of suggestions for them on this site and they have surpassed my expectations. Easy installation too.
