Of course, the bucket seat chrome trim available is not the same as the original trim on my '68 chevelle. The trim available resembles door edging which is sold at automotive stores and is a smaller size than the original. I'm putting this trim on my seats today because the original trim is cracked and damaged. I don't have end caps on the original trim and I assume they butt the chrome trim. Is this the correct installation?

I haven't replaced mine yet because I don't like the re-pop stick on stuff, Not correct at all. The original stuff had a little "L" that locked it onto the seat mechanically.
