I have a 70 Elky with a 307 that I just redid the top end on (rebuilt heads w/hardened seats, new springs, 272 deg cam kit). The single exhaust system was completely rusted out, so I need to replace it completely. I was thinking of doing a dual exhaust, when the 4-banger tuner in me thought "why not build up a turbo system into it?" I have stock bottom end components and I just double checked the spec for the CR to be 9.0:1. How much boost could I realistically run with a single turbo on the stock bottom end without blowing up the engine? Would it even be worth my trouble, or would I be better off investing my time, energy, and cash into a 350/383 high comp engine with the dual exhaust? Any and all help, advice, tips, and cash donations are greatly appreciated in advance (as always).
