Just wondering what shocks you guy's are running on your street/strip ride? My rearend is almost complete except for my shocks. My combo is a 454 wiht a turbo 400, and my new chris alston fab 9 bolt in. I've heard kyb's are real stiff. Are monroe's or edelbrock's any good? Or am I better off with competition adjustable drag shock's? Thanks.

Been running 90/10 lakewood on front but front does not lift as quick as i think it should .Took shock off and front is very loose. THIS shock does not seem to extend that much easier than the rear 50/50 lakewood i had. Not sure if they could be drilled and refilled with lighter oil to help loosen up extension? Watching stock and top eliminator cars on espn and i swear they don't even run front shocks the way they bounce up and down the 1st 100 or so feet. What is up with that??? Looks like many have had good luck with adjustable konis and CE engineering adjustables. The koni is a tad expensive. Toms shock nut trick is another option that is worth trying in my book. GOOD LUCK and sorry to ramble AL

Right now I have summit adjustable's in front and the rear. It just seems like they aren't doing anything. I compress them and they stay put. This must be affecting my traction right? Keep the input coming. Thanks.

I have KYB's all around. Just removed the Hotchkis front lowering springs and reinstalled the 35 year old stock big block springs. That alone is letting the car go straight. Going to replace the front shocks also. Would be nice to find some good old fashioned std duty hydraulic shocks. I may wind up trying either the CE front adjustables or something similiar.

I have QA1 12 way adjustables on the rear and a set of QA1 "R" series coil over kit waiting to get installed on the front as soon as Global West delivers the tubular tall spindle control arms.

Shock Nut trick with regular gas shocks in front and gas shocks in the rear. If you feel you MUST spend some money then go right to the QA1's 12-way adjustables in the rear. But don't expect to see an ET improvement from the added adjustability until you are in the 10 second or faster range and it becomes close to a necessity to have adjustability.
If you are experiencing twist on launch, only shock nut trick the right side, you'll go straighter on launch and pick up some 60 ft for sure.
If you have air bags or not is another topic.

Do a search. It has been discussed many times.

Koni's and Lamb's seem to be prefered by hard core sportsman racers in stock and superstock. I have Koni SPA's on my car.

Is anybody running comp. engineering drag shocks on the street? Are they too much for a 90% street driven car?
