Could someone please give me the math formula for mixing fuel, for getting a certain octane rating? Thanx

Is there such a thing?

With lead additive, there isn't a linear relationship. You soon run into the law of diminishing returns. The first few grams of lead additive make a BIG difference. The next few make some difference, and to go farther means adding LOTS MORE additive.

Take five different brands of gasoline, all rated for the same octane level: You'll get more power out of some of them than others.

Unless you know EXACTLY which hydrocarbons and additives are in the gasolines you're starting with, I suspect you're just playing "Pin the tail on the octane rating".

You can make an educated guessimation.

(Octane x volume of the first rating) + (octane x volume of the second rating) / total volume.

Example: (91 x 4) + (100 x 2) / 6 = 94 octane. Rough but will give you an idea.

Yes, or what ever units you like.

I've raced against a guy who used to mix 3 parts VP C-12 with 2 parts methanol and a pint of 104+ booster . They were E-Z pickens . Either break out or couldn't run the number . VERY inconsistent . Stick with what is working !

Try this stuff...

Kemco Lead Supreme 130 real lead gas treatment.

It is real Tetra Ethyl Lead and can raise octane by numbers NOT points!! Like from 94 to 98 NOT 94 to 94.8!!
