I have a 69 Chevelle with a turbo 400 with a floor shift. The rod located in the steering column is missing and when I turn off the ignition only the steering locks and not the shifter. Question: When I look for a connecting rod, are they different , length, etc., for a car with a column shift vs a floor shift? Any thoughts other thatn a junk yard for locating such an item? I believe the "back drive rods" are available from the repro parts places.
