:D:D:D You powermonger! Same dyno in 2004, it made 385HP/377TQ. Yesterday made 463HP/447TQ.

Britco's dyno is known to be stingy. I just keep in mind that last year it MPH'd at 110+ most of the time. I think some assumptions can be made about the little rat.

Hold on there Mike... Every 396 guy out there SWEARS that the 396/375 is grossly underrated claims of 425 horse etc. OK, I see accessories so this is close to the lower factory rating.....

78 horses and 70 ft lbs gains!!!:bow::bow:
Solid 11s:yes::yes:

You rock!

Weather looks like ash for the 18 and 19th.....

Mike- I am not sure if I'll make that one or not. I will definately be at the one in May. I still need some more local hard mashing on my car before I feel confident about driving down and racing. My problem is, sort of like a lot of you, There is no part throttle in my Chevelle...:noway:

Do you have the capability to print the power curve on this beast? Failing that, the HP and TQ numbers at a few points 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000
What were the rpms at max numbers?
Asking all these questions as I have been 'studying' 454 power curves too long

Hey Mike what kind of valve spring pressures are you running with that cam??

Was unloading last night and realized that I left the dyno sheet on the desk. They are sending to me.

The peak tq was at 3200 @ 447, but it stayed above 441 until 5000. Peak HP was 463 @ 5900. The curve is much different than the L78 cam was. I will be rowing it a little different I think. That's what I remember, I'll have the sheet by Monday.

330 over the nose. Enough until I can see what it does in the car.

On another note I was going to take a pic of my clutch switch for the 2 step while the eng/trans were out. Just to give you something to do when you were stuck posting.:) Camera went on the blink. Borrowed my son's, so I'll get a pic up for you to look at.

Looking at your duration @.050 258/264* and your engine size I would have figured your max HP closer to 6500-6800rpm....
Interesting data Mike, thanks for sharing...look fwd to the whole report..and seeing the awesome power at the track.

Smae heads??? What castings were they and any port work??? Just curious as looking at the stock flow numbers, I was surprised that my 200CC Platinum iron eagles, on the nova, out flow a set of stock rectangle ports.

Sure hope my ported 990 castings do alot better than the stockers. Anyone know where I can get a few runners flow benched?? I'd like to know ball park of these heads before I bolt them on as i would consider the AFR 315s alot more if the 990's suck. I need to ensure my 427 is gonna rip.

I'm thinking 11.80's @ 116 MPH which 116 could get you 11.40's if everything was ironed out well through the 1/4.

Then squeeze a safe 100 shot into the 10.90's!!!!!!!!

Same heads Darryl. 840 rect port 2.19/ 1.88s, stage 1 port. 11.51 would be fast enough, thank you!:D

I believe there is a flow bench over in my neck of the woods, I believe it is called flow techniques something like that I could find out more info if you want me to.

C'mon Mike, tell 'em the REAL numbers;)

All I can say is that it sounded mean as hell with only the outer valve springs in it and at 2000 RPM. I think Loader1's holding out:D

seems a little light to me. I'd have to be well over 400 at the nose with that much lift. Maybe it's really 630lbs, which would mean,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,ROLLER!!!!!!!!!! Yippi!
