Are a t350 and glide the same length? Also do they have the same rear mount location?

Yes and yes. Mine was a t350 car and a glide bolted right in.

I forgot to ask if it's the same when a t350 has the 6 " tail? Also the glide is lighter right anyone know how much? The glide is suposed to use less hp than the t350 anyone know what the differance would be? I have a t350 in my car now with after market ratchet shifter, I bracket race it only and I am thinking of swaping to a glide. Dont want to change shifter or really anything else. I tore up my t350 so gotta change anyway.

aloooong time ago , 22 years it's been. When I was a wee bit younger I changed out my slip and slide for the t350 and remember it going right in

What car is this going in? Depending on combo, it may be faster with the t350. Better 1st gear to get it moving, but more consistant shifting it once. Mine is still a t400 because I feel it's too heavy for a glide.

Great chart from TCI Mike, thanks. Shows the glide at 20 9/16" and t350 at 20 3/8" for the rear mount, not much diff. Looks like 27 9/16" for the glide length and 27 11/16" for t350, guess that wouldnt hurt the drive shaft length. Its a 2900lbs car with driver, 650hp sb, 4.56 gear 29" slick, trans brake launch. Dont know what I would gain, just thinking how much it would pick up with the glide. I've heard the glide is more consistant, lighter and uses less hp but how much?

In your combo, I think a glide would work. I can't say that it will gain much maybe .05 based on weight and drag, but you have the tire and gear to help it leave so it won't hurt it. The trans brake and I'll assume 5-5500 converter will help the car, but you may have to have the converter modified for the input shaft.

I forgot to add I run 1/8 mile. If I had 1 built I think they could change the input shaft for my 5500rpm turbo converter.

You are correct. I forgot that is what I had. I had my glide built with the turbo spline and just swapped over the converter when I put the T400 in. I was wondering how I did it, and couldn't remember having the converter done. You answered it.

It's called a turbo input shaft.
