I cleaned my holley carb. with holley carb cleaner, and when i put it back on I adjusted a screw that is on a blue arm that is connected to the throttle linkage. I tried to start the car and my friend noticed a flame through the air filter. He also noticed a spark behind the carb. but wasn't sure where it came from. Please tell me what is going on?

A spark from behind the carb must've come from the ignition some where? Check all the wires/wiring to see if you have a bad spot. I can't believe it's jumping to the carb. It's a frickin incendiary device if it is. DON"T DRIVE IT UNTIL IT"S SOLVED. Backfiring through a carb can be caused by too much timing.
