Yes, I got $300 for castings on Ebay. They had been machined for large valves and screw in studs, but still needed to be rebuilt. Oh, they were a date matched set.

I agree there are better heads available but if someone is looking for original look, $300 bucks ready to go is not bad. Guess it all depends on what someone wants.

1968 was the last year for the L79. And while the L79 did have camel hump heads, they had the larger 2.02 and 1.60 valves.
I agree, too, that $300 for the set sounds like a pretty fair deal.
