69 hardtop, passenger window is loose and misaligned. I have never done any window work so I am hesitant to tackle this but it is bugging me so I'm asking for anyone's advise.
I have the window handle tool and the door panel tool. In easing the door clips out will any need replacing ? Should I have some on hand ?
Don't know what I'm looking at when the panel is off. The window needs to come up at the rear so it meshes better with the rear glass and it is loose. Exactly what am I looking at doing ? The window rolls up and down fine. What to lubricate the tracks with ?
Thanks.

lube with white lithium grease. the clips should be fine if you are careful. remove the panel and dust shield. then roll the window up and down while you watch,,,find the stops that is what you will need to adjust. usually a 7/16 wrench. the hole where they bolt will be slotted for adjustment. there is nothing hard about this, just takes time.
don't put any lube on the glass edges, they slide in a felt lined track.

If any door clips need replacing you can pick up replacements at NAPA. They carry a variety of clips for different makes and models, so if you do need to replace any, take a sample of one of your clips with so that you can make a comparative match.

Fisher Body Manual is what you need. Real good for door glass adjustment.
