I am approaching the time to do the interior on my 72 four speed with console. I was looking at the console and noticed two bulb sockets in the harness but have no idea what they are for. The top shifft plate covers the entire top so what are these lights for. I am not speaking of the light that is at the rear of the console.
Thanks Chris

Here's a Ground Up catalog picture that shows the "tray" that goes under the shift indicator plate for an auto console. If you look close, you can see the two holes that are used to mount the bulbs that you are talking about...could you possibly have the wrong harness?

I was just told auto and manual used the same harness. Either way I am just going to tape them up and forget about them.
Thanks
