Ok Now that I have my heads off and seen that my shim gasket had a problem...lol
I want to find out if My Quench is alright and what size gasket?? Will a .039 be ok (felpro 1010) ???
I am gonna try and get a friend help me measure better but I come up with pistons in the hole about .025 How will I be, if I go with a .039 and a 64cc aluminum head.

If you have more than .055-.060, you might as well say that you have NO quench.
Shove another shim gasket in place, or deck the block.
Does Fel-Pro make an .015 rubber-covered shim gasket? That'd be super for you.
I'm running Mr Gasket shims in my 454 boat engine.

how about the pace performance 14096405
Small block compostiton for use w/' cast or aluminum
.028 compressed thickness
*stainless steel on one side and graphite on the other...
I'm looking for something that will last guys, this is mostly street driven but i also want a 12.99 time slip...
hope to get a more accurate measurement this week on how much piston is in the hole.

If your calculations are correct you were at about 11.0 with the .015 & you will be at about 10.65 with the .028 with a .053 quench so you should fine.

I posted this on your other thread about this but here is is again: ;)

Yea,,, I be one of them guys doin it :D
If the surfaces are done correctly, in my opinion there is no problem what so ever with the 1094 FelPro's.
But you have to have the capability of getting very smooth finishes on both the head & block.
I prefer 20RA or better on the head & 50 or better on the block. This is very smooth.
I have used them in a number of street engines & have a couple of over 12.0 compression circle track deals that have been happy all season, actually one has been running for almost two seasons now.
The 1094 is the coated steel shim .015 gasket.
But,,, my preference is the standard FelPro performance type gasket or Cometic MLS. ;)
