used cortez (*BC/CC) on mine, made by RM. a good deal of flake in it...looks great, lots of compliments..its a bit more expensive than the other ridiculously expensive paints. it was shot over top of a black epoxy primer, which had been followed by white primer surfacer..maybe that helped give it some extra pop, not sure.

i have seen some brighter silvers...one that i like was used on '00 or '01 vettes..my buddy painted his '65 that color and it really looks sweet.

I've painted a few cars with the Volkswagon/Porche bright silver. (late 90's -2000)

It REALLY pops in the sun!

If you want something a little different look at Dwayne's 69. It is a custom mix.

The silver on the newer GM cars, Galaxy Silver, (12/WA519F) is a real clean, classy silver.

I've got it on my daily driver ('01 Olds Aurora), and I really like it. Hides dirt well, but is bright and crisp.

if you do the BC/CC Cortez Silver you will have a lot of metallic in it because todays paint has alot more metallic then back then so you will be happy:thumbsup:

Not true. I have a cortez silver Z we are doing right now. Very little mettallic in it. If you use the correct mix they are the same as factory was back in the day.

That's the one! I painted a Shelby Clone in that color. When I was finished and drove it out into the mid day Florida sunshine, I immediately required sunglasses ;)

Awesome, I have been looking for that code. Thanks. Out of those two which one is a higher gloss?
