My dad is about to buy a '67 Chevelle and has a question that I can't seem to find an answer to.

Does anyone make replacement trunk gutters for this car? I see there are some suggestions for using first gen camaro gutters but......... It looks like a donor car may be the only way to do this.

Thanks

You might want to look at OPGI, page 337 of the 2008 catalog.

You'll need a donor car or go through the work to make them yourself.I placed an order from OPGI almost two years ago. All they give is the run-a-round on when they will actually have them available.I also ordered the Camero trunk gutter from OPGI and there is no way they will work...and you'll need more than one kit if you try and use it as pieces.I had to get a donor gutter from another car. The good news is you can fit just about any 60s-mid 70s GM A body gutter. Don't get me wrong, you'll have alot of hand fitting to do, but it will work. I used some almost perfect gutter from a 69 Impala. If you make it yourself from scratch, you'll need a brake press and one of those shrinker/inside & outside curve makers. If someone finally comes out with a new trunk gutter kit, I'd think they'd sell a bunch of them! Good Luck!

Thanks for the replies. With all the parts now available and, as popular as Chevelles are, you'd think someone would be on top of this part.

Thanks

You could make some short pieces and piece meal them in. Heres a little bit on some bending. http://www.1969supersport.com/sheetmetal.html

Just try a couple small pieces for starters.

As stated, no one reproduces them, no matter what is listed in anyones catalog - they do not exist.

I'm making mine from 4 shorter pieces of bent metal. Then installing them end-to-end to account for the natural bend in the weatherstrip gutter / rear window to trunk panel. After they are installed, I'll use some fiberglass over the entire piece to make it look like it's one piece.
