: Dyno day this Saturday!!!!! Here you go
Red Rocket Racing Apr 8th, 08, 10:21 PM OK I have a tenative dyno day set up at DDP in Monroe.
Lenny said he would like between 5 and 10 cars and he wants to start at about 8:00 and try to be done by 2:00 (this should be easy) the earlier the better he said. The cost would be $50.00 each and this would be for a few pulls each. I told him I may bring the race truck down and he said it would not be nice for me to make the cars look bad on the dyno :hurray: I should be around 850hp on fuel
He told me to tell you guys he does not have a 5 gas sensor that you guys like to use to see how your fueling is going. That one probe is like $1,500.00 and he does not do enough cars to make it worth while. If I get the Chevelle running tomorrow (that is the plan) I may dyno it. On second thought no I wont because I have to work this weekend so I will not be there :(
Lenny said he will call me tomorrow and let me know if it is a go or not. He has to get a tech guy to help him run the dyno and check with the wife before commiting to a Saturday.
I hope this works for you guys
flink69SS Apr 8th, 08, 10:28 PM You have 2 now...:D

flink69SS Apr 8th, 08, 11:41 PM Hoss- What is the actual name of the place. I have a friend with a hot Nova that might come. He said if it's Dynamite Diesel something, the guy was pretty harsh on his truck last time.
Jim_D Apr 9th, 08, 1:37 AM I'm there! Thanks a ton.
Jim_D Apr 9th, 08, 1:47 AM Almost forgot Mr. Monza will be there too.

FRYNTYR Apr 9th, 08, 2:41 AM I'm shooting to do it too. Have a nice trans leak I have to investigate and fix before Saturday. Wish the Air/fuel sniffer was an option. I was hoping to see if i could see if my 950 HP is running rich or lean enough on the 355. Maybe a .1 or .2 more could be had.

Like I said, read your plugs and adjust as needed. Still a good test bed.

Here is the web site http://www.dynomitediesel.com/
Jim_D Apr 9th, 08, 5:06 AM Looks like we might have 4....... Not enough yet. Spread the word.

Do you mean when he ran it on the dyno? I am pretty sure he will let you run your own cars on the dyno. I always dyno my stuff myself. The place is Dynomite Diesel Performance. Lenny is a good guy and he will do right by you.
Red Rocket Racing Apr 9th, 08, 7:07 AM You have 2 now...:D
I look forward to finally meeting you...
I have to work so I will not be there :( However you guys are welcome to cruise over to my place afterwords and we can check out your dyno sheets over a couple wobbly pops and a burger
FourEightyNine Apr 9th, 08, 10:15 AM I will make a pull on the pink scooter, just gotta have smoeone sit on the back to keep traction on the tire. Doc think we could rig up some NOS to it?:D
In all seriousness I hope this dyno happens I am supposed to make a guest appearance at this thing. Wont be bringing my chevelle due to serious lack of power right now
flink69SS Apr 9th, 08, 12:22 PM Let me know if we have enough. I am alos bummed there is no o2 sensor.
I did hear you about pulling plugs but things get very hot after a pull and reading a monitor is much more convenient.
Like I said, there should be 2 here coming and can you really run your car as opposed to them doing it for you?
Jim_D Apr 9th, 08, 1:19 PM Here is the deal...... I need 5 or more cars/trucks by the end of the day. If there isn't enough I will call the place in Marysville and me and Mr. Monza will go there. It is important I dyno because my carb is running fat and I am hoping it either clears up under full throttle or I can play around with air bleeds.
flink69SS Apr 9th, 08, 1:28 PM Jim- If I had my preferrence, I would like to go to the Marysville shop. I think the guys name was something like "Cam" but I can't remember. They are open on Saturdays and would probably give us a break for bulk. It looks like we have 4 right now.
Again, I like the o2 readings to help with my A/F mixture.
Red Rocket Racing Apr 9th, 08, 3:27 PM Should I call Lenny and tell him we are not going to do this???
I hate to let him think we are coming and drop out at the last minute.
He is planning to open his shop on his day off for this.
