i would like to use a set of stock-style stamped rocker arms to break in my cam.i will use only the outer springs for break-in.they have roughly 300 lbs.open pressure without the inners.will the stock rockers hold up long enough? thanx

I'm no expert but I think alot of circle track engines out there still run stamped rocker arms with stout solid lifter setups. I think you'll be fine with just breaking the cam in. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

If they are "good ones" you should be alright !
Inspect them thoroughly !!!!!
Also for added security;
-be sure to run the "grooved" ball type, as the added spring pressure adds to the friction at the ball/rocker fit, and this is the area most prone to failure, and will benifit from the added lubrication and cooling
-be sure to check all rocker arm geometry and clearances if your running anything above @ .480" lift, rocker slot to stud, pushrod to head guide, and so on, for binding destroys a lot of motors

Might think about going with a set of the, I think, TiN coated ones that are out that are gold colored??
Coated like the new drill bits you can get at the hardware store sorta thing for extra wear resistance..
