: Adjusting bucket seat backs

Is there any type of adjustment that can be made to the back of a bucket seat? It seems that the back of the driver seat isn't sitting square to the base. Almost like something is bent.

With the seat mounted squarely in the car, the back seems to have me leaning in toward the center of the car. If I put an extra one of those rubber stopper things on the inner side of the base, the back seems to fit more squarely, but it's a little tougher to get the back locked into position

I hope the way I explained this makes sense

Mine use to lean towards the door. I pulled the back cover and found the rail that goes from the hinge up to the top of the seat back was cracked. On a '70 there is a rail on each side and a panel that goes across the top, spot welded to the 2 rails. The rail was cracked right were it connected to the top plate. I managed to tie the 2 pieces back together with a small junk of steel. Didn't even have have to pull the seat cover off.

BTW: I tried the bumper thing too and figured out there must be something more too the problem.

I don't see any cracks, or anywhere to make any adjustment. I guess something is just bent somewhere, but I can find out where. Sure wish I had noticed the problems before I spent over $500 having them covered.

I guess the extra 'bumper' will have to do
