I am in need of some sage advice. I am in the process of installing the rear panels above the rear arm rests. I purchased a interior kit, which included new panels. I first put the windlace in the door jamb, which seems to extend past the top of the door. Oh by the way I did not remove the old stuff, car came with out. I did have one of the old wind lace, which showed the "tail" simply was bent over towards the back of the car. Now I am trying to fit the arm rest and the filler panel and the door panel in place. When I place all the parts in, loosely, I cant seem to get the front of the panel to sit down and "curl" to meet the top the quarter panel. I see there are two screws which hold the back of the panel down, as well as pressure from the filler panel. I also see a plug for the panel snap into. What if anything can I do to get the front to seal down better? Also it would seem the carpet needs to go in first, right? Thanks.

I believe you install the upper panel and glue the front vinyl flap over the door jam flange. The windlace should be tapped on over the flange then to secure the vinyl from the upper panel. The carpet can go in last.
