I have a 69 chevelle which has stock A/C (currently out of car). Since the evaporator is taken out I had a chance to look behind it where the vent door is located. I have some questions about this. First, the top lever on my A/C controls, is it supposed to control which way that door fluxuates, because right now as you can see in the picture it kinda just sits in the middle. And since I took my A/C components out, the heater no longer really heats, or maybe its escaping into the engine compartment? Is there a cable that supposed to connect to it to physically move it? And second, is there also some kind of airfilter thats supposed to sit inside there, because you can see straight thru into the pass. compartment, didn't know if that would be bad for exhaust fumes to get thru since the evap. isn't there cause I can sure smell it :D
