ok i got 40 series flowmasters 2 1/4 inch and its all the way out to the bumper and im wondering if i cut my tail pipes off b4 the rearend how much louder will it make it and was wondering about exhuast fumes getting out from the car. we dont have andy rush hour traffic so i wont be settin for a while stopped i want my exhuast to sund louder. its fairly quiet right now. and was wondering if i had to deal with the fumes issue can i take a 2.5 to a 3 inch reducer turn it around backwords and put 3 inch turn downs at an angle how loud would that make it??? :confused:

Adding turndowns will definitely make it louder and also a little deeper sounding too. It will make exhaust fumes more noticeable and make it resonate inside the cabin more.

If you want it louder than that add some Dynomax racemagnum bullets with turndowns, this is what I have and it will definitely make it loud. It might also make you more well known with the police. ;)

when i did my turn downs it made it a bit louder but im just running some noname turbo mufflers.. you dont really notice any fumes in the car.. and for the sound in the car i do know that with my mufflers there are certain times i guess when everything is right theres nothing but complete bass tone when sitting at idel that can get very annoying at times.

Idle tones might be annoying to you, but they are music to my ears. I have old thrush glasspacks bolted to my headers that end at my feet. Talk about a head turner. Nobody ever wants to race me on the streets. Even the Hondas and their Folgers can exhaust tips won't even look over at me. :D

They are basically a 3" glasspack with a collector welded on the end (and of course they are painted purple) and bolt directly to the header. Those sound good and similar to my Bullets, and both are good for setting of car alarms too. :D

i thought about getting some of those for my car because hell them things are like 30 bucks a peice and wouldnt take 15 or so mins to put em on there. but i didnt know how they would sound but yes im with the other guys heck the EXHUA ST is my system eveyones like i got my 10" subwoofers .and im like like i care lol. graemlins/clonk.gif graemlins/beers.gif smile.gif
