Hi everyone, I was off line for a few months I'm back. IF anyone remembers I was in the process of re-building my SBC after the fuel pump lobe wipped out, taking out 2 pistons because of the lean condition graemlins/clonk.gif
We finally got the Elcamino to the track. It went somthing like this.
60' 1.691
330' 4.952
1/8 7.706
MPH 88.85
1000' 10.142
1320 12.160
MHP 109.63
The car is a 1986 Elcamino
SBC 350
TH-350 transmission
3500 stall converter (left at 2500 rpm)
9 inch diff 3.70:1
The motor
standard bore and stroke 350
11.8:1
Fast burn heads ported by flow technics (best guy I've met in the hot rod bussiness)
2.055intake
1.6 exhaust
54 cc combustion chamber
UD hyd roller
Advertised 292/302
.050 238/248
Lift .565/.565 W/1.6's
108 LSA
102 ICL
Holley DP race preped
Aeromotive hot rod pump
BG regulator
Comp engineering sump
1/2 fuel line from sump and fuel pump
3/8 to each fuel bowl
I never thought I'd be able to hit the low 12's with street gears. I'm planning on trying 4.30:1 gear ratio.
Thanks to every one on Team Chevelle for helping me though this. I'd also like to thank Pat Kelley (my uncle) who sent lots of emails explaining things on how how to re-build the engine. Couldn't have done it with out him. smile.gif
