To wow your friends, and to tell people you boxed your uppers. From what I understand, there isn't much if any advantage to boxing the uppers.

The information I have is that there is no need to box the uppers. I have at times explained that to people and they still what their upper arms boxed. Who am I to stand in their way? If that is what they want I will do it for them.

im new but can you add the rear sway bar before you box your control arms? i ordered the rear sway from pst before checking. i was leaving the rear suspension alone except new shocks and a rear sway bar.
any advice

In my opinion you should box the arms before adding the sway bar. There are people that say all you need to do is to add spacers inside the arm so that you do not crush the arm when you bold the sway bar to the arm. In my opinion you are adding a great deal of stress to the arm and you need the additional strength that boxing adds when you install a sway bar.

i have boxed my upper and lower coontrol arms and added a rear sway bar. i put the sway bar in and boxed my lowers originally and then i went back and boxed the top, and although they are small it does make a difference. i suggest taking one off at a time and boxing them in yourself, its really easy and if you have a welder its free!!
