I have a 1971 chevelle and wanted to know if a 275/40R19 would fit on the front of the car? The suspension will be tubular a-arms (sc&c uppers, unsure of lowers) and ats spindles. If it wont fit how about some suggestions on the widest 19 inch front tire and some back spacing info would help me out a lot. Thanks in advance guys.

That tire is nearly 28" tall... pretty tall for the front. It will probably clear at normal ride height but not at lower ride heights. A 275/30 would probably be best if you want to run really low, and a 275/35 would probably be good at moderately low ride height.

Thanks for pointing that out gokou, I ment that 40 to be a 30, So tire size 275/30R-19. That puts height at about 25.5 inches. So it will fit? What wheel width should I run 9.5 or 10, Im thinking 9.5? Also, I'm thinking about 6 inches of backspacing acording to the wheel and tire database.
