I just set an LS2 with a 4L65E in my 67. My question is what mount do I use for the trans. The motor is out of a 2006 GTO. The mounts and pan are from BRP but my crossmember is my stock one. Any help is appreciated guys.

Car Craft just did an article on this type of change out; they put a '04 GTO LS2 and trans into a '65 camino. I think they covered and listed all the parts required to do the install; you might want to check it out.

I just re-used my stock one here although my combo was an LS1 with a 700r4(non electronic 4l65). I did have to move the crossmember back however. You may or may not have to move the mount lower on the the crossmember to get your tranny angle right. It all depends on how the engine was mounted.

The car craft article does me no good. The mounts they use are not the same. They also have to modify the crossmember and tunnel, which so far if haven't had to do either.

I just put my stock crossmember in place with a TH400 mount and it appears that it will work I just have to drill the mount to accept the trans. The only thing is that it seems the motor is angled back quite a bit. I have to put a protractor on it to see how it is.

On my 70 El Camino, I cut off the mounting tab from the crossmember, turned it around - and slid it back over the frame (takes a little bit of pushing/pulling). Get the trans/engine to the correct angle, and re-attach the trans. mount. I've got a LS1 - 4L60e?, it is a little close, but it all fits fine. I also used prothane mounts for the engine/transmission so there is no excessive movement. Works great - no issues! Didn't clearance the floor pan either.

Unfamiliar with the article, however the 04 GTO had the LS1/4L60E 05+ got the LS2 and upgraded 4L65E
