Probably a bit moot at this point... since I already bought them. Figured the Elky is just a long Chevelle ;)
But I wanted to see if anyone had run these on an El Camino?
I guess I am going to find out just how different the rear springs are between the Chevelle and the El Camino.

Well your mileage may vary...
Rear started at 26 1/2" to wheel well top, ended up at 24" with Eibach Pro-Kit springs.
Front started at 27 1/2" to wheel well top, ended up at 24.75" with Eibach Pro-Kit springs.
So it dropped the rear 2 1/2" and the front 2 3/4". Looks rather slammed actually. Bugger is so low that my floor jack no longer goes under the front cross member without a 2x4 under each front tire.
Have not driven it yet so we will see how it feels later...

Drives pretty soft and sits too low. I am dragging the headers as I come over the crown exitting my garage :( I also drag the headers on heavier road bumps, which was one of the things I was hoping to get away from with the higher rate front springs. Guess it is time for adjusters and shims to get it right.
Really feels strange getting in and out now with it lowered... I keep trying to step *through* the ground.

Are they progressive springs?

The rears are progressive. The fronts are linear.

It was a kinda quick deal. I was able to pick up the set of springs for < $200 shipped to my door. And they were really only supposed to drop it 1.3" according to Eibach information.
I figured that stiffer springs up front would help reduce the frequency of the headers bottoming out on the road. And I figured that dropping the rear would help driveline angles and perhaps reduce the violence of the wheel hop.
If they had truly been 1-1.5" drop as advertised I would be fine... but closer to 3" drop in front and 2.5" in the rear is just too darn much with Hooker headers. Then there is the spring rate issue where none of the ways I have estimated rates on the Eibach springs comes out close to what folks have claimed. They all come out a fair amount to a lot lower than previously claimed.
I tell ya it is almost enough to force a guy to just go buy stock car springs... at least that way you KNOW what you are getting and getting yourself in to. :beers:

Well after enough spring boosters and shims I think I have it to a tolerable state.
I added a 1" booster ring in between the bottom coils on the rear springs and a 1" rubber shim ring over the top of the front springs. Picked it back up a bit over an inch all around. Just enough to keep from dragging the header flanges going in/out of the garage.
I wonder if the rates I have seen for Eibach springs were really for the discontinued BB kit rather than the current SB kit? Might explain the differences.
I can tell you that a set of circle track springs and adjusters are either the same price or cheaper than new Eibach spring kits once you add on the extra spring boosters/shims needed to make for a streetable car. I would be quite steamed if I had paid normal retail for these springs.

I'd also expect to see some serious sagging with Eibachs over time. I had another 1" drop with Eibachs on a '93 5.0 TBird after less than a year.
