I have been getting info from you for a while on solid cams. The one thing that has me puzzled is where I'm at now cam wise.
355 10.75 comp
stock sportsman heads
rpm intake
Lunati BMII 292 .480
th350 w/10" converter
4.30 gear w/28" slick
3380lbs w/drive
What hydraulic would you run in this car? I'm planning to go solid but I need to know how far of in hydraulic I am now to fully understand the solids that you have mentioned.

Marty,

For your combo, I'd run a Lunati 301B3LUN, my good ol' 288/296H8. It is 231/239 at .050, .485/.507 valve lift, and 108 LSA, and a completely different animal from the BMII. It would make an easy 420+ BHP on a conservative dyno, about 470-480 on Westech's.
The solid lifter cam that's the next size bigger would probably be my 276/284F10, 243/251 at .050, .518/.530 valve lift, and 110 LSA. This is Lunati's 401A6LUN, on 110 LSA. You can also get it on 108 LSA, special order. It would make about 450+ in your engine, and have a little more torque down low.
I always allow 8° at .050 as the equivalent between a hydraulic and a solid. 231° hydraulic equals 239° solid. Then add 4° for the next step up.
