How do I tell if a speedo cluster is from a floor shift or a column shift car?? I have a '67 Chevelle with an after-market floor mounted auto shifter, and I have a column shift steering column that I don't think is original to the car. My car also has what I belive to be a '70 or '71 402 in it. I am sell the speedo and I need to know what i have inorder to list it. A local shop told me that a there should be a hole on the botton of it if it was a column shift, but I don't see any holes.... or am I looking in the wrong place? thanks for your help...Glenn

Not sure what your asking?
as far as the speedo cluster, a column shift will have a speedo lens with PRNDL on it for a glide and a floor shifted glide would not have the lettering ..Using a powerglide as an example.
A console would have a clock delete on dash.
The columns are of course different per trans type, small block big block etc..
