: Just some pics
Kevin R Mar 30th, 08, 6:13 PM Just thought I would post up some pics of my 2000 cbr 929, 2002 kawsaki zrx1200, 1964 elky that I used to own. I used to be big into fast bikes but gave it up when my son turned 1. I started to get scared out on the road. So now its chevelles. :D

Brettd85 Mar 30th, 08, 6:18 PM Wanna know my opinion of everything and what I would do if I owned them? :D jk
I love the CBR, that is one sweet bike. I used to really want a newer 600rr but even that would probably be way more bike than I need or should ride. I decided that the Seattle area is just not a safe place to own a bike. The streets are far too crowded and everyone is in a big hurry, its dangerous enough in a car.
So why did you sell the elky? Give us details on powertrain.
OutCast Mar 30th, 08, 6:19 PM I'm diggin' the CBR !
Same here on the bikes and kids thing, Kevin.
Rode a street bike for years, but now with 3 little kids, I didn't want to let fate determine when my luck was going to run out. Now I just stick to dirtbiking. Lot's of places to ride up here.
Cool elky, too.
66 Buick Special Mar 30th, 08, 6:28 PM Nice bikes Kevin!
Sweet Elky too!
I have to agree with you on the bike thing.
I know I mentioned to you about my having to work that fatality motorcycle wreck while I was shopping for my 5th street bike.
If the guy had been screwing around it wouldn't have had the same effect I'm sure. But the fact the rider was doing everything right by all witness accounts and the police investigation really hit home. I started thinking about my kids too.
I know people die in car crashes everyday, but I still feel a little safer inside my barge.
Kevin R Mar 30th, 08, 6:32 PM Your funny Brett:D
The CBR was a bad motor bike. It had 140 rear tire HP and the 1200 had 141hp. I did 170+ on the cbr and about 165 on the 1200. I started riding when I was 17 on the street but rode dirt starting at age 7. I was into doing track days down at Pacific raceway. Its just to dangerous now. I liked standup wheelies at 100mph and kneedraggen which is dangerous but it was fun.
As for the elky it had a 350/350 in it. I had it for only 2 months and paid 5500 bucks for it. I sold it when my wife told me she was preg with what would of been our second child. Just no room for a family of 4 in an elky. I sold it for what I paid for it then 10 weeks later my wife had a miscarriage. About 6 months later I started looking for a 66 and found the one I have now. The elky was about a 10 footer. It needed new rear quaters as the lower were fixed with fiberglass and were prev rusted. The motor was tired but ran fine. Otherwise it was a pretty nice truck. Had all the deluxe chrome on it and it was in exellent condition.
Dave Mar 30th, 08, 10:27 PM I had a 83 GPZ 750, lot of custom work done to it back in High School. Finally decided to give up the 2 wheeled beast's.
Kevin R Mar 30th, 08, 10:37 PM These are just 2 of the 8 different motorcycles I have owned.
1985 Ninja 600R(First street bike lots of fun)
1988 Suzuki Intruder 750(Nice cruiser)
1994 Honda V4 Magna(Too slow)
1998 Harley Sportster Sport( Harley sucks)
1999 Honda CBR 600F4(nice for a 600)
2000 Honda CBR 929RR (This one was the fastest)
1988 Honda Hawk GT 650 Twin(This one handled awesome)
2002 Kawasaki ZRX1200 (Killer power wheelies)
66SSFan Mar 30th, 08, 10:45 PM Nice toys Kevin. I still ride, but have slown way down. Now I own a big cruiser and enjoy the ride. I'v had several bikes over the years but my favorite was the CBR XX 1100. I had a ton of cash into it and it was scary fast, even ran a 9.97 with it at Firebird raceway when I was going to collage in AZ and I'm not a small guy:D. Sold it to pay off my '66 that I bought from a friend. I keep telling myself I'll never not own a bike, but I find myself putting less and less miles on my Royal Star every year.
kettbo Mar 30th, 08, 10:53 PM I had a 74 CB-750 back 1979. Blue tank, black stripe....sweet! Lost interest when I lost a few friends
RAMBO Mar 30th, 08, 10:56 PM Kevin, weird... I know that 64... was owned by two different guys in my car club before you go it, it think... Small world!
Did it still have that ugly splatter paint in the engine bay when you had it?
