Hi..I'm trying to tidy up my wiring (and the rest of the car :D) its a 70 Chevelle, six cyl auto.
Every car I buy seems to have half a mile of tangled spaghetti under the hood, I have removed yards of multicolored electrical tape, and most of the spare wiring...leaving me with several wires which appear to go nowhere ?
The one that puzzles me most is a black wire that goes down to the transmission, attached by the trans cooler pipes and dipstick tube.
The other end of this wire has a double connector with a purple wire which seems to go into the loom...running back toward the fusebox ?
This wiring was taped up...the double connector not connected.
Any ideas what it does ?....don't think its the back-up lights as they are working fine.
