Will the kits sold for 64-72 Chevelles and El Caminos fit my wagon with a 454? Wagons are never listed. The 67 Wagon never came with a 454.

I have full length headers with 3 inch end pipe.

I have searched the posts and figure I need a 3 inch system with either an x or H pipe, and I read Flowmaster 50s are quieter but cool.

Some of these kits are listed as fitting all V8s. Are SBC and BBC header exhaust in the same location?

I hate to resort to a local muffler shop. Id rather do all this myself.

Ill take any help I can get. Thanks

Thanks
Dave

On my 70 SS 454 Red Sta. Wgn. ( Org. a 307-P.G.) I have a STOCK B.B. El Camino exhaust system. 100% stock, I Started with 70 Cast Iron exhaust Manifolds, Stock head pipes,Mufflers, tail pipes and hangers. Wagons and Caminos are the same. Fact: El Caminos start life as a wagon on the line.

Thanks Bob for confirming the ElCamino = Wagon thing. But they didnt make a BB ElCamino (or Wagon) in 1967. I have a BB in my Wagon.

Will the small block El Camino kit fit big block back fits? Some of the kits say all V8s so Im guessing so but would like to make sure before I "press the button".

Thanks
Again

I believe the pipes are different O.D. The configuration of Big Block exhaust and S.B. is not even close.

For my BB '66 wagon (cast exhaust manifolds), I bought '66 Chevelle SS downpipes and mufflers from Hinshaws and had a local muffler shop bend new tail pipes.
I tried to use tails made for a dual exhaust Malibu SB but they didn't exit correctly...especially on the spare tire well side.

They did in fact produce 67 el caminos with the big block, 2,565 to be exact were ordered with the 396 engine, but not the wagon.

Maybe a dumb question but I thought the only difference in the frames between the coupes and the S/W's was some extra length behind the rear wheels. Why wouldn't a BBC coupe system work with an additional few inches added there if you were going for a straight-out system?

I used a Flow Master 2 1/2" kit on my 67 coupe with Hedman headers and they fit fine.

EXACTLY the point I was trying to make in my post above!
