I purchased this tilt column a few yrs back for my chevelle, i have auto on the floor.
this column has 8 wires my old had 10 wires, also the linkage on this column is different then my old one
any ideas if this is for chevelle or possibly camaro?

This is the non tilt column that is in my chevelle now, look at the linkage arm its longer and bent in oppisite direction. and has 10 wires

You never said what kind of car but keep in mind that in 1970 GM had six columns that went in Chevelles. 3 tilt and 3 std. Auto on the floor, auto on the column and standard shift. Each being different. If your column is the some length if may be a standard shift column. And I can't tell you if it will work with auto on the floor but it might. I should bolt up the wireing and column lock will probably be different. Hope this helps.

Im thinking, can you change out the shifter arm...? The wires i dont know. The the other post, what year ? If all out fails and nobody knows there is a guy on ebay GMTILT is the name he knows his sheep about them. Might e mail him if all else fails. Keep us posted. Somebody knows here at TC im sure though. Might post what year your car is and what year column you have.

My car is a 71 auto on the floor, not even sure if this is the origional column or not but the linkage hooked up fine
I am just trying to id the column and make sure what it is, im just going to sell it .
