69 Ratt Vette

It looks like I am finally going to get Lou to put that Fogger on his 540. I read the posts for and aginst him doing this and thought you na sayers need a little more info. This is Lou's street car, no roll cage etc. The only time this car gets to run at the track is when we went one of the local tracks (2-3 times a year) There is no time to really work on the car to get the 60' down and optimize his combination. Lou has a 9 sec. race car. The Chevelle goes to a car show or two a week; and the occasional cruise. We have about 8-10 buddies in our group. What ever e.t. Lou could pull would just be for bragging rights around the car show BS circle.

John, with Mike Thermos in the neighborhood I'm suprised that Lou bothered with a poll. If I can keep the hood on my car I hope to join in the March fun. Once I get my '65 better sorted out, then N2O is almost a certain next step. Tens from a true street car, driven to and from the track, is cool - but single digit times are quite a lure.

Hello all,
Not to burst the performance balloon, but if this Chevelle is going to run bottom 10's or high 9's with spray, shouldn't it have a roll cage or at least a bar?
I know it's a street car and only goes to the track a couple of times a year but I didn't see anyone mention safety in this or the last post. Things happen fast when a small tired car gets out of shape.........
