Posted a couple videos from last weekend's test session for my friends up North that are drag deprived at the moment smile.gif
Run #1 (http://kjett.home.mindspring.com/Images/Videos/run1.wmv)
Run #2 (http://kjett.home.mindspring.com/Images/Videos/run2.wmv)
If you pause the first run right at the launch you can see the car pulls the tires almost over the concrete divider but then the rear tires unload. I also got on the rev limiter a little in 1st. Reaction time on that run sucked, too. Guess I was rusty from the break smile.gif . Had a 5.03 R/T by the 4th pass, so getting back in shape.
Enjoy!

Nice runs Ken. That is one sweet little `66.
I seem to remember you having the E-brock no hop bars? If so, are you pleased with how they work? What shock are you running?
Anyone else here run no hops?
Thanks,
Texas70

Thanks for the kind words everyone. And I hope all of you will soon be racing too.
Chris_SS_69,
Yes on the Edelbrock no-hop bars. So far I've had a best of 1.48 60' and a ton of 1.49-1.51. They've been working pretty well but I have a feeling I'm running up against their upper limits with my small tire ride (28.5x10.5 ET Drag). I may be talking to Racer1320's suspension guy about a new rear suspension towards the end of this year. The no hop bars are pretty predictable witha fresh set of tires. I've got ~65 passes on the current set and I think the 60's are beginning to slip a little. I'll know for sure the next time I get to a well prepped track hopefully in two weeks. As for shocks I'm running QA1 12-way adjustables all the way around.
Texas70,
I revisited your web site and it looks like you're making some real good progress on your ride. It's cool to see the slow transformation of the grocery getter into a street/strip terror. The hood turned out nice! I was also checking out your welding cart. I've recently bought a small MIG too (MillerMatic 135) and have been working on some small projects. It's a lot of fun. In fact, I'll be welding up my newly installed merge collectors this afternoon smile.gif

Ken graemlins/thumbsup.gif graemlins/thumbsup.gif You're car is really an inspiration for me getting my '66 back on the road. People at work who have seen your videos think it is my car since I have them saved on our desktop and my car looks almost identical to yours!! I _do_ tell them the truth, though.
