Does anyone know how to hook up a Sun #SST- 707 Super Tach to and GM HEI ignition system. Do you connect to the "tack" tab on the distrubor or doyou need the Sun EB-9A Transmitter?

Not sure what type of tach you have there from your model #, but you might try here:

...you can down load the installation instructions for various models.

that tach needs the transmitter to work. hook appropriately to the "tach" contact on the distributor.

Tach is a Sun #SST- 707 Super Tach
The instructions given on that site is for the SUN Pro Line Super Tach II and III
This is a vintage Super Tach. The stumbling point is the new GM HEI Ignition system
This is the instructions for the transmitter.
"SUN" Tach ST-500 SST-700 Models RC SST and Transmitter EB (http://www.leverfamilysite.com/images/PDF_Files/Sun_Tach_ST-500_SST-700_Models_%20RC_SST_and%20Transmitter_EB.pdf)
The problem here is it only shows it being hooked up top a points system?????????????
