Is there a cheap or free program that you can use to break down audio tracks? Such as - take a song off of a CD and isolate just the drums or the guitar so you can listen to the one instrument without the rest of the music?
It's probably something you gotta pay big bucks for, but I thought I'd throw it out there anyway. :D

Thanks a lot!

Heck Dave, It's hard enough to get good software to isolate and edit tracks alone. I fooled around a bit without good luck and finally purchased what I needed. You are really stretching it I think. Good luck

Thanks, Jon.
I thought it was worth giving it a shot, anyway. :D

I have heard that REAPER (http://reaper.fm/index.php) is quite good. I have very little musical experience but I think it should do what you want.
