Been a Pontiac man forever but just got a NUMBERS MATCHING 67 SS 325hp, 4 speed, 3:31 posi to restore. Got interior questions. Previous owner swears bucket seats are original, but dont look right to me. Found build sheet under back seat that says 761AA. I know it's black, but bucket or bench? Any info helpful.

My book says thats Black Imitation Leather Bench seat. Mine has the same number. When I got mine it had bucket seats in it, found out they were from a 68 Impala. I found a bench seat, which may be tuff as its a one year only seat, same as a 66 but with latches for the seat backs, new fed reqiurement I guess. There are two 67 restoration CDs you can buy, I got both, lots of info.

Correct, code 761A is a vinyl black bench seat. If they were stock black buckets, I think the code would be 763B.

FYI, that "build sheet" you found is more than likely a Trim Broadcast Sheet. I found mine in the upper rear seat as well.

I show 761 as a black bench seat. Black vinyl buckets would be 763.

You found a Build sheet... BUT, does it belong with your car? Or is it from another car?

"Buildsheets" were never intended to stay with the car after assembly, and I have heard they sometimes ended up in the wrong car...

What does the Trim Tag say? Tags can be changed too...

I found a Body Broadcast Sheet under the back seat of my former '67 Firebird 400 ragtop. I don't know about ones from Chevy, but the one for my Firebird had the car's VIN right on it as well as the number stamped on the engine. It was very easy to determine that it was authentic and came with the car. Are Chevy's the same? They are both GM's?
