Im getting close to finally starting my 396 up. i bought 3/8 pushrods but my guides are not big enough. my dad said to just use my dremil tool and just bore it out so that they will fit. Is this a good idea? anyone done this before? thanks fellas...

No, imho go over to Competition Products e-cat. and buy a set of 3/8" BB guides b/c you can screw up easy here, imho!!

Think they have two brands so take your pick and the pricing isn't all that much for either set..

AND don't forget ta put a daub of good old Permatex, "Indianhead Shellac Gasket Cement" on each stud to make sure they don't leak..

He, He!! A little daub on the threads and a schosh under the heads will do you fine!!
