I already tried this on my 71 Chevelle. The back spacing is way wrong. They'll hit the upper control arms in the front, and the lowers in the back. You have to space them out a minimum of 3/4", 1" would be better. (that's alot of spacers) airrj Mar 25th, 08, 12:48 PM Search for wheel adapters, that is what you will need for this. They are available in many widths, I made my own and for C5 Z06 rims and I needed a 2" adapter for the front and a 2.125" for the rear. Z06 rims are 1" wider than std C5 rims, so thicknesses may vary. I think the adapters are about $400 a set, but I haven't looked in a long time. I really like the look of the C5 rims. bartf Mar 25th, 08, 1:08 PM I was thinking of putting ZR1 type wheels on my '70 Chevelle and yes, you will need spacers. Skulte Performance (www.skulte.com) makes the adapters that appear to be quite high quality. Good luck! |
