As topic says, which intake will fit with a 70 cowl induction hood? Leaning towards the performer/performer RPM.

Thanks,
Joe

I asked the same question and was told that a Edel. Performer or Wiend Stealth would fit.

You can probably do a search,I know I've read the answer here and I believe the RPM will work if you remove the spacer on the bottom of the original air cleaner.I use a 14"air cleaner with a 4"element. http://home.fuse.net/jwachter/pict0008.jpg

I used to run a Performer on my 70 SS454 with the factory cowl induction air cleaner.Fit fine.No spacer.
I have since switched to an RPM,and am still able to use the factory aircleaner..its a hair tight, but it does fit..it is 3/8 taller than the standard Performer.

i ran a strip dominator with an NOS plate and an 850 dp with the stock flat hood on my 71. i used a dropdown-base air cleaner.

I run a RPM Air Gap with a NOS plate on top of that. I must run a drop down base air cleaner to get it to fit.

i run a performer RPM on a small block with a 3" element and a drop base, it just clears, but im not running the oversized base because of my HEI. if you run the big base, you will probably have to run a smaller element

I've got a Performer RPM on my 71 with Cowl Induction and I can't use the stock air cleaner assembly anymore, even without the spacer.

I have the stock CI air cleaner with a 750 Holley on a perf rpm with no spacer. The seal is mashed down pretty good but the hood closes fine.

That's on a 72 BBC elky.
