If i wanted my 72 Chevelle to sit up higher about an 2 inches how would i go about doing that??

On one of my cars, I kept the stock springs and use BOTH air shocks and air bags. I adjust the height with the air shocks, then stabalize the height with the air bags.
If you are going to put a big load on the rear of a car, inflate the bags or shocks FIRST, rather than try to lift the rear AFTER you have added the load. Its easier on the bags or shocks to inflate them first.

I have air shocks on mine to get more tire clearance and they aren't the best solution. Yes, they raise the rear end up but they also make it a lot stiffer which hurts traction. Longer springs or spacers would be a better option.
