well i screwed up.......got ahead of myself and working to much of memory......
i have hooked a few msd 6al boxes up in my days and i finally messed up......on a mallory 6al box.....
both boxes have same kinda wiring instructions and i happen to forget one thing and it looks like it cost me a box......
i bought a mallory 6al box this time and a msd starter saver to help run my 468 bbc...i also was using a stock hei unit that was locked out.
i hooked it up like any other i have done before......added in the starter saver.....and it was done.......
i fired up the motor and it ran and sounded good and was really easier to start........
but about 1 minute into the run time it just quite......checked everything over had power, gas, but no spark......
i looked over the diagram to double check my thinking and wire hook up.......
oh no! i forgot the ground to the hei unit...........
put a fround wire to the coil...with no luck, to late
replaced the coil twice with two others and no luck no fire, called mallory tech they believe that the coil found a ground thru the mallory box and fried it.
i unhooked the starter saver and used just the mallory box but no luck no spark.....
well i boxed up the mallory 6al and i will ship it off tomorrow to be fixed.
