I went to church tonight for holly saturday mass . The choir was singing and the director (a 80 year old man who is the father of one of my hockey teammates) was singing a solo and dropped dead half way through. The priest went up and prayed for him . He had been choir director for as long as I can remember and he died doing the one thing he loved best. What a way to go.

This sounds like a scene from the first "Grumpy Old Men" movie with jack Lemmon & Walter Matthau. I can picture them sitting in the bar describing the scene & calling the guy a "lucky bastard". :D

How are things on PEI?!?! I hope to make it up there one of these summers!

P.E.I. is beautifull in the summer but we got a ton of snow right now. Come on up, we would love to have you.

I am a big NY Rangers fan, & few years ago (maybe 10?) they did a little behind the scenes between periods when Darren Langdon was on the team. He was from PEI & the scenery looked stunning! I also recall seeing some beautiful golf courses overlooking the water. Like I said, one of these summers, I am there!

The stanley cup came to PEI with Brad Richards the year before the strike. There are lots of good golf courses on PEI and the scenery is the best in july and august. The weather is generally very good too!:)

If it's your time to go, there's no better place to be at that time then in church, IMO.
Gotta look good on the "resume".

The man was at the front door and the Good Lord just opened it up and let him in!:) He lived a good long life and did not have to suffer or face the indignity of having to be cared for by others. Couldn't ask for better than that now could you:)!
Condolences to his family.
