I installed a Moroso oil pan (pn 20413) on my 454, I have 2" Hooker headers. A Fram PH 5 (1qt ) is too large to fit between pan and headers. What oil filter are you guys using that will fit ? Or is a remote filter the way to go ? Thanks, Jay

Hello Jay,
I have a question for you!!
About your headers : What part number do you have from the Hookers ?
Thanks Eddy.

I use Dynomax 1.75" headers with the Moroso kickout pan (kicked out on both sides) and I can get the filter(the longer filter) in and out without much trouble.
Ain't happening with the 2 ".

relocate the filter or notch the pan only choices you have. or do as i do, loosen the header bolts and unbolt the collector and pull header over to the side and filter will just slip in
I did a search for this subject, not many people replied with their outcome.
Won't the PH30/PH3 work under there. Not sure if I got the right part number, but the 1/2 quart filter.

Jay,
I have the 2455's and a Milodon Road Race pan. No problem with oil filter clearance, If the drain plug wasn't in the way, a two quart would fit.
If the pan is causing the interference, I'd have to agree with mechcanic427's suggestions.

I just picked up a relocation kit tonight. The half quart filters won't cut it either. There is about 3" between the header and oil pan. Also, I have a blowproof bell housing. Thanks everyone, for the input.
