puchasing a clutch conversion linkage kit, I don't see that it includes a "bellows assembly" or boot assembly if you will. looks like push rod goes thru steering column ring on fire wall. this ring doesn't come w/hole in it on auto chevelles in 67. if u can't get new ring w/hole 4 rod how do i attatch boot just drill hole & use self tappers? I also don't see bracket that attaches to z bar return spring on fire wall. Some one I am sure has been thru this any tips?

Get a boot retaining ring----this will not come in the kit.

With this ring you will be able to tell where to trim the hole in the column mount.

(I actually went to the trouble to get one from a salvage yard---any manual trans mount will do)

I also removed the lower shift arm and detent from my column so I could relace this plate.
