UD Harold, can you recommend a voodoo cam for this setup:
454 .030 over
Merlin oval port heads (out of the box)
10:1 compression
Air GAP RPM manifold
750 cfm Edelbrock carb
M-20 with 3.42 posi
Looking for a streetable hydraulic flat tappet cam that will start working at 1500 rpm. The car will not be raced, just cruised on weekends. THANKS.

With the Merlins, the 10:1, the M20, the 3.42s, I'd run the 60203LK(cam & lifters). This cam is the 268 VooDoo, with 268/276 at the seat, 227/233 at .050, .542"/.552" valve lift, and 110 LSA. Think of it as a souped-up 280/288, and it is. Realistic BHP at the flywheel is 480 to 510, about 5700, and it will turn over 6200.
On the dyno, we used a 6200 rpm cut-off, and the VooDoo 268 hit the cutoff hard.
In a 355, this is the cam I drove around Bowling Green, and I LIKED IT!!! The 355 was a little low on vacuum, although the brakes worked.
