Thanks to the folks that posted to help with the wipers on my 66.

I finally figured out the two key pieces of info, that the wiper motor grounds through the switch, except for the park process, where it has to have a good case ground.

The ground via the switch was not apparent to me, since everything else I have worked on in the last 20 years, has plastic dashes and ground wires. The wiring diagram does not show a ground symbol at that location either.

Apparently, my original, never molested 1966 wiper motor just did not have enough ground to park, and it won't work at all with the switch loose on the carpet.

Removed it, and it worked on the bench when connect properly, so I made a clean ground spot on the firewall for the park connection, installed my new motor, hooked it up, grounded the switch case, and away she went!!!!

Ever so slowly, she's giving up her secrets and coming around.

The heater is next, but not urgent.

Now if the %$^ machine shop guy will get my block ready to assemble!
