changed the front factory disk set up for a light weight willwood set up, removed the power steering and went back to manual steering. total weight savings 55lbs. ran the car with half a tank of gas, reweighed the car and the race weight is now 3520. this was a 100lbs weight savings from last outing. my previous best was a 1.599 60' with a 7.303 1/8. made 4 passes tonight with some tuning (finally) and went a best of 1.573 with a 7.139 :D . thanks to Rafel (67rs502) next on the too-do list is the electric water pump. new alt. bracket "should " be here next tuesday. id have never thought the car would be this fast. thanks to the guys on this site with all the great advice. there was a problem developed on the last pass that put me on the trailer. will make a different post for that. maybe someone can help me sort is out. thanks Dave
